Follicular Unit Transplantation

Follicular unit transplantation is another type of surgery on the list that helps the bald area in our head get filled up with hair. In this surgical process, the surgeon takes a part of skin from the back or side of the head. Then the surgeon removes all the hair follicles present on that skin and then inserts then in the bald region. The surgery likely takes four to eight hours of time to complete. The follicular unit transplantation takes less time than follicular unit extraction.

In this surgery also, local anaesthesia is being injected to the patient so that he/she can experience no pain while the skin is removed form the back or side of the head. The surgery leaves a scar in the area of head from where the skin is removed and follicles are being extracted. The cost of the surgery depends upon how much hair follicles are to be transplanted in your bald region. This varies from person to person as every individual has different kind of requirement of hairs.
