Saggy Eyelids

Saggy eyelids are common in people with genetic defects, insect bites, or blunt force trauma from accidents. It may cause problems like blocked vision, perception of depths, and even allergies. It may also cause headaches for some patients as the lens and iris are under the constant pressure of the eyelids.

Procedure:

  • Local anesthesia is administered by the nurse.

  • Incisions are made just above the eyelid and below the eyebrows.

  • The extra tissues are surgically excised, or minor liposuction may be performed.

  • The wounds are dressed with stitches, and anticoagulation is administered.
