Lower Eyelids

Like Excess skin on the Upper Eyelids, excess skin can accumulate on the lower eyelids. This may also result from genetics, any post-surgery complications, or fat loss liposuction. Your medical optometrist will examine your visual acuity and recommend you to an ophthalmologist for further process.

Procedure:

  • The nurse administers local anesthesia.

  • A trans-conjunctival approach (eyelid approach) is used for patients with not too much excess eyelid.

  • The transconjunctival approach does not require external sedation. A drop is administered, and excess fat and muscle tissues are removed with the help of a scalpel.

  • The infracilial method requires sedation; either scalpel or lasers excise the skin. New laser surgeries aim to preserve the tissues while excising the skin and muscles.

  • The wounds are dressed, and you will be sent to your medical optometrist for visual rehab.

Benefits:

  • It provides visual rejuvenation that means it gives the new power to see things.

  • It provides aesthetically pleasing eye structure.

  • This procedure leaves the patients with better range of vision.

  • It gives more options while choosing specs.

  • This also makes it convenient for people to wear contact lens.

  • Moreover, this treatment cures any eye allergies.
